The Perth Soccer Club was formed in 1987 and has competed in the premier league football in Western Australia ever since.  The Club was a result of a decision by two clubs that dominated local football, Perth Azzurri, East Fremantle Tricolore, and a fast growing Balcatta Etna to form a super club called Perth Italia Soccer Club. The new club's mission was to dominate local football competitions and become a springboard for a team at the national level.
